Skate Moore Square & Wheel-a-thon Team Up for April

Check out more details on the Skate Moore Square and Wheel-a-thon event pages.

Skate Raleigh and Leadership Raleigh are teaming up for a weekend of wheeled fun in downtown Raleigh as Skate Moore Square and Wheel-A-Thon 2026, taking place April 10–12. Throughout the weekend, Skate Raleigh will bring its pop-up skatepark, with the help of the Downtown Raleigh Alliance and Raleigh parks, transforming one of Raleigh’s original urban parks into an action sports complex.

The weekend’s main event is Wheel-A-Thon, presented by Leadership Raleigh, on Saturday from 4–7 PM. Participants (and spectators) will skate, roll, or ride to raise money for better skating opportunities in Raleigh, with all people-powered wheeled sports welcome. Quad skate rentals (from Peak Skates) will be available!

The Schedule:

  • Friday: 1-7pm open skate at Moore Square with NCSU Skate Club and Endless Grind

  • Saturday: 1-7pm open skate at Moore Square. 4:30pm lessons with Triangle Skateboarding Lessons. 5pm Best Trick Challenge Contest. 6pm BMX Bike Show demo. 6:30pm Raffle Drawing.

  • Sunday: 1-7pm open skate with Skate Forward and Delicious Skate Shop.

Whether you’re skating, riding, or cheering from the sidelines, the weekend offers a chance to experience our city’s rider-focused community.
