City of Raleigh Survey Responses

We’re starting 2024 with some good news! Remember that survey the City of Raleigh had at the end of the year to find out about the current state of skate in The City of Oaks?

Well, the results are in! Here are some highlights.

Skateboarders are the clear majority of park users, making up 74% of survey respondents, with skaters and bikers rounding out the top three.

Respondents love the location of the Conlon Family Skatepark but desire more features and amenities along with a balance of activations, with open skate and community events as top choices.

Conlon has brought out plenty of novice and beginner skaters, with those two groups making up most of the under-10 and 11–18 age groups.

Conlon has good reach! The top three responding ZIP codes were 27603 (extending far south of downtown), 27604 (pushing nearly to Knightdale), and 27610 (including west of downtown)

There were a lot of good quotes, but our favorite is this one:

Please keep up the expansion of skatepark access in Raleigh.

That’s the plan, and we’ve got big plans for 2024. Be sure to subscribe so you stay in the loop.
