Update on Skate Raleigh’s Stolen Equipment Trailer
From the News and Observer (July 11, 2025)
As you might have seen previously, Skate Raleigh had an enclosed trailer stolen earlier this week. The trailer contained all of our new equipment from Keen Ramps, OC Ramps, and Evolution Ramps—gear that was meant to bring pop-up skateparks to spaces all around Raleigh. We had just used it for the first time at Moore Square a few weekends ago, and it was a key part of our “Exodus” plan for skating once the Conlon Family Skatepark closes at the end of the year.
There’s more info at the News and Observer, ABC 11, and our Instagram page.
As of today (July 12), it still hasn’t been found, and there have been no reports or serious leads. We’ve submitted an insurance claim to recover most of the lost assets, and in the meantime, we’re incredibly grateful for all the positivity, re-sharing, and community support that has come our way during this setback.
We’re asking everyone to keep an eye out for a plain gray trailer that might have been abandoned somewhere in town. It’s possible the equipment could show up on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, or elsewhere.
