Town Hall Replay

One of several renders of The Conlon Family Skatepark shared during the town hall.

Thanks to everyone who made it to the design presentation last week! Members of New Line Skateparks and the Skate Raleigh team walked through the Conlon Family Skatepark design—and the site constraints we all had to work within to build this park.

I think the strategy of having these interim skateparks is great because not everyone wants to wait nine years for their skate park like I did from my hometown in San Diego.

We had a bunch of thoughtful questions and a great conversation about the upcoming park and, in some ways, more importantly, what we can do down the road to make Raleigh a more inviting skating, blading, and BMX environment. (Hint: We're just getting started.)

Couldn't make it to the town hall? We've got you covered with a recording. Check it out.
