Skate and See Was a Big Hit

On Sunday, October 1, Skate Raleigh hosted Skate and See, unveiling the latest Conlon Family Skatepark additions and a local artists celebration.

Leading up to this weekend, local artists transformed the ordinary cement barriers at Conlon into remarkable pieces of art, adding a burst of color and culture to the downtown Raleigh landscape. Skate and See showcased these new murals, Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin said a few words, and we raffled off some prizes, including gift cards and skateboard accessories.

Hundreds of people showed up on a beautiful fall day to skate, bike, and blade, and enjoy local food, drink, and shopping with Trophy Brewing, SlingShot, Nature’s Twist, Poblano’s Tacos, Flattz, Alpine Artistry, Gamesturz, MT Collective, MunjoMunjo, Raleigh Retro Gamers, S. Tier LLC, and Anthony Andrade Games and Comics.

Thank you to the artists who dedicated their time and talent to paint the barriers at The Conlon Family Skate Park.
